we had a frame with 19k miles on it. left the rear and front susp in. my father swapped the gears today cause they were a diff ratio and he did the rear axle seals and rear brakes. he’ll do the front brakes tomm. i have about 8hrs in it pulling the frame. swapping the exhaust putting a new fuel tank in, tranny xmember putting the frame back under and bolting everything back up

its the inside rear view. Thanks all for the thoughts. Got the new one in. at least benz engineering isnt like audi engineeringB) . mirror is just grab and pull. Rear bumper comes off with 2 bolts. dont even have to take the trim panel off to get the side mirror off. Parts are damn expensive though. 2 mirrors, one seat belt and a small storage compartment in the dash was $2500:ohmy:

honestly its not a new product. duponts had that clear for awhile. i remember seeing it on there web site at least 4-5 years ago. the tech sheet has a 1/07 revision date

dont let the name aston martin or xirellic pearl scare you. its just paint. the xirellic pearls spray the same as any tricoat. keep a good consistant 50-75% overlap, walk the side of the car. make sure to spray a test panel to see how many coats you need to get the shade the customer wants

its just the angle of the picture:unsure: its actually bigger in real life;) but is is even on both sides. couldnt adjust the hood down anymore or bring the fenders up. almost like the used hood was bowed a little in the middle. the only part of the final out come i wasnt thrilled with ( well that and the dents my ex helper left in the hood) but hey the gaps on that olds arent that great to begin with;)

looks good there, except i can see some primer spots showing on the hood:P .and is that a sheet over the back window. you worked hard today maybe you should take tomm off. heck why go with the 5010 when the 15410 looks that good

too many photos. takes too long to load:P Gonna be fun doing that. Plastic welding would be nice but i dont think it will do the trick hear. likely gonna have to use a 2 part epoxy repair material. bad part is you cant get to the inside to reinforce it. I owuld cut it and get it fit then v it out on the cut seam but taper the v a good 4-6 inches on each side. use the 2 part epoxy but layer plenty of reinforcing mesh in there as well to give it some strength. you could use chicken wire but its not a structural repair like an a-pillar so the standard mesh they sell with for the epoxy will be fine. might not hurt to fabricate a third mount point in the center for some strength as well. I havent done this particular project but that is likely how i would approch it. or you could just leave well enough alone. the damn car made it 300,000 miles without the spoiler;)
