A little hard to sand for recoating. Let it sit for about 2 hrs then sanded. took a while to knock it down. doesn’t like dulling out with a grey scuff pad took some effort in the corners. got one part that will sit over the weekend and I’ll see how that sands after it sets up some more

got a gallon today. Jobber had a special grand reopening offer. selling gallon kits for “jobber cost”. Whatever they called it it wasn’t much more than the quart kit I got the other day. I will play with it some more and try to push the limits with it. good to know what it will do under non-production circumstances. I did like that it did not pop on me as other speed clear do in my booth. I will definately try out some of the other clears and products as well.
One question is has there been any issues with durability due to the extreme speed?

That been the basic pecking order of insurers for a while. But if you get a good appraiser it can make working with the worst company better

I just haven’t seen too much of their stuff retired.
In one catalog I see 13 diff compounds and polishes and this catalog is not selling all the 3m has to offer.( sorry I missed a page with 4 more. so make that 17). I can buy the same scotch brite pads in 3 diff kids of boxes. Tell me what the diff is between 3m’s 01050 (1500 grit finishing film) and their 00950 (1500 grit finishing film)
I’m not completely knocking 3m. I use a lot of their products but every time I look they come out with more of the same stuff. It just seems silly

3m keeps coming out with new or diff versions of all the stuff they have already. really how many diff kinds of compounds does one company need to make. how many diff ways do you need to package scotch pads, etc. just pick up an autobodytoolmart catalog and see all the diff ways they try and sell the same stuff. Its crazy

I’m sure you can find some courses at a local college. Likely they will make you take the basic chem classes before the advanced ones. I took one Chem class when I was in college. I hated it, it was too early in the morning. Lab was fun, playing it stuff when you are still hung over

A warrenty is worthless until you actually need it. Then when you need it it’s priceless

double check the can that you grab before you pour. DX330 wax and grease remover does not make a good reducer for DBC base:blush: . Gums up really fast:(
