Nice Job. Truck is looking good. Reclearing headlights wont get rid of the yellow. you need to sand it all off and have clear plastic before you clear. and even then, aged plastic just doesnt look the same as new

Some are like PPG’s. others that are true elastifiers are permanent like the ones used in akzo systems or basf
PPG claims in their Auto Color line they have the only true Elastomeric, it stays in elastic flexible state. PN#2021
So you mean Nexa has the real stuff. makes sense since it’s a good European paint line :p

DAS on raw plastic can give you fits. When it first came out, if you waited a few minutes too long before basing it would wrinkle on you

Section it through the windows. 3 easy splices and you are done. it would be a waste of time to try and seam it above the glass.

You dont happen to work at a shop in Worcester, do you?

well aware of how insurance companies pay for materials. they also pay material costs on supplements when they are costed out through programs such as mitchell material calculator, paintex, or even your own paint system software. any good paint system will have job costing built into the mixing computer software.

Not sure what the issues were. But I’m sure oevrreducing and properly shouldnt be used in the same sentence. If it needs to be over reduced to work, then it’s not doing what it is supposed to do when mixed properly. over reducing a product can cause issues as well. as far as cost of paint products, last time I ordered paint I didnt tell the jobber I needed 4.5 hours worth of clear. Job cost everything and bill properly for the materials that are used.

I have heard the guys around me that were using it are starting to have delamination issues. I would rather pay more for a good product that I know will work. If you bill properly, the cost of material shouldnt be an issue

AG40 used to run me about $230 for the kit. thats about $28 a sprayable qt. your shopline is running $20 sprayble qt. I know the shopline is thinner than the AG40 and you will use more product thus costing more overall for the job. I bet that price list you received was list prices. Certainly shop cost is going to be less.
