If it makes you feel better to belive that then great. However I never said it was an HVLP. But depending on the air cap that you use, the gun is both an HVLP and a Compliant Gun. Both are still a long way away ahead of the 30-40% transfer efficency of a conventional gun.
Again, please educate yourself before opening your mouth 😉http://www.sagola.com/index.php?zon=car&pro=01&num=1

Sorry dud. it’s you that has no idea. you are the one that thought you spent $500 on a conventional gun. Conventional guns have been outlawed for quite some time here in the states. Conventional guns had about a 30-40% transfer efficency and required high pressure (40-50 psi) and thats what you posted up the tech sheet said you needed to run your gun at. Guns for sale now require at least a 65% transfer efficency. either HVLP/LVLP technology or one that is considered an EPA compliant gun. These guns are a big differance from what conventional guns were. You really need to educate yourself before opening your mouth. :deadhorseMarch 7, 2013 at 7:25 am #41933Len will be able to tell you. Maybe you should verify with the guys over there to be sure.
March 7, 2013 at 7:20 am #41928
What kind of gun am I spraying with?
You bought it. Don’t you know :blink:March 7, 2013 at 7:12 am #41925
Haha!! Be careful how you word things!! I can dig up several posts about how YOU said it was stupid to even imply that the tech sheed would have any clue about what pressure to spray at. Matter of fact it was in THIS thread. So no, I dont go by the tech sheet on what pressure to spray at. But for grins I did just look, It says 45-50 psi in a conventional gun!! No way man…im not spraying at 50 psi!
But yeah it totally makes sense that laying on 2 heavy coats will dry faster and retian gloss better (and less chance of pop). And I totally plan to bring my pressures back up. I feel I get a more even/uniform coat with more pressure as well.
50psi. you dont even know what kind of gun you are spraying with :SMarch 3, 2013 at 5:18 pm #41779Even if it was the correct hardener , adding more doesn’t make it cure faster. It will actually slow it down.
