After the weekend the panel still looks good. I dont think it shrunk or lost its gloss at all. Gonna try 1 more probably a bigger panel just to make sure, before I do it on one that counts. Thanks for the info on this product
JohnJuly 3, 2010 at 2:31 am #22243Just sprayed a test fender of the fc710, I gotta admit that it went on nice and the gloss level looks good right now, we’ll check it over the weekend and see if it still shines. Have a good 4th weekend

Thanks for the replyJuly 1, 2010 at 11:05 pm #22189I have been spraying tc-730 over tec base (solvent) since it came out and have had really good results. When we made the switch to vortex we could no longer use it (not compatable), now I have tried ipc 15, tc 751, and tc 723. These clears seem to shrink, dive back, low gloss and we have had to buff entire panels to acheive the gloss level. So I am in the looking into other products right now. Dont really want to switch.
May 22, 2010 at 12:41 am #21424Are you using the new prospector color reference system. I was told they are using this system and going away from the alternates. Not that it has anything to do with color match but what clearcoat and sealer are you using?
Have a good weekend
JohnMay 21, 2010 at 4:03 pm #21408We just switched to martin senour vortex this month and have not noticed any real change in color matches. I agree that you have to pick the right chip color and trust it because the color changes once it is cleared. I still am not comfortable with the clear coats, the one we were using is not waterborne compatable.
Sorry not much help
