    When I started spraying it I was using an lph400 1.4 with an orange cap but always seemed to fight the blends with high metalic colors. I switched to an ls400 1.4 w/ the gold cap and it was a night/day difference. An added bonus was the much faster drying time with the ls.

    I mix everything with the 002 and use the 020 in solid colors and 040 in metalics.

    Like I said I’ve thought about trying that as a last resort. I haven’t found another way that I like enough to not stop trying new ways.

    So you are turning the pressure down and spraying out a rough pass of clear and letting that flash then 2 (or 3) normal coats on that? Does the 2 coats soften the texture to match factory toyota? I have thought about trying this because toyota rock guard is very light and fades to nothing. I’ve tried the 3m in the yellow can with ok results, just not a perfect factory match. Fords are a breeze compaired to toyota.
