3M makes a nice plastic abrasive that will remove everything and clean the metal , clean and condition metal and then epoxy prime. when primer dries scuff and glaze with a good body filler then surface ,seal and paint

Experience has taught me that Global BC > DBC > DBU in more ways than one , gun setup ,
proper thinner selection and a controlled consistent application usually yields great results . Always remember painting is an interactive process all about adjustments .I am not sure but I believe that DPLF can be used as a w o w sealer over poly primers.

With all that after putting on base or pearl give the car a proper look over and if necessary scuff/remove the debris and blend on more base and pearl if necessary , let flash and tack off properly before applying clear a little patience goes a long way .

The Valu Pro probably would not be as durable as DCC try delta or starthane

I have found that nearly all jobs are unique , I use a sort of charge out guide which use smaller increments
like for example 3 ounces of compound and divide the price by the unit cost with a small mark up. Just estimate a little
more than you will require and use the remainder as profits or even for redos.
