looks good that was hit harder on the pass side right??
how did ya go about pulling that drivers side rail backReplaced the rebar bracket on pass side and had to slightly push d/s rail back into position w/ port-o-power.Replacement rebar then bolted right on.
I finished it a few months back, just haven’t gotten around to posting.
this one is childs play lol. and like bondo said, ull want to bolt some of it together to check for proper panel fit before you do any cosmetic work let alone primer.
Yeah now I see what you guys were talking about the test fitting haha! Wont be too much of an issue though I pretty much got it all put together still waiting on some parts but will definitely keep that in mind for next time.I should have it done sometime this week I will update with some more pictures.
If the putty has been there for 30 minutes that’s enough time to be ready for primer. You probably used spray can primers, they do not have high build like 2K primers.
You gotta apply multiple layers to get a decent coverage and whenever you spray a bit of primer shrinks into the bondo/putty.If I were you I’d get R-M Polyuroxyy or SEM Metal-Lock. They are 2k/epoxy hybrid.
Filling of 2K with corrosion resistance of epoxy.BTW are you a hobbyist? Are you going to paint this yourself? Seems like you are working in a shop.
hahaha! yeah just the occasional hobbyist, yeah just spray can primer but I do have a quart of some Nason primer ready to spray on that area now that it turned out the way I was hoping for, I will have to try them other good quality primers sometime, Thanks for the info.
I don’t really remember the brand but it was just auto parts primer, was just using it for a guide,I got it figured out though looks like I was spraying the primer to soon not allowing the putty to completely dry out, that’s what I get for trying to be too much in a hurry.
