Run thinner through.
Remove air cap and a quick blast of Naked Gun from a spray can.
Blow dry with air.
Needle and nozzle come out once a month, maybe.
Guns are clean inside
The Sata and Tekna are both good quality guns. When taken care of they will both last a long time without issue.
The guns and tip size boils down to what feels right for you,the product and the environment you are spraying in.
You paint supplier should have techs that come out with demo guns.
If not try contacting devilbiss directly. They should have a rep in your area.
Other body shops probably wont let you touch their guns.
Where are you located?
I really like the Tekna.
I recently started using it for clear too. It would be perfect for your needs..
They come with 1.3 and 1.4 tips also so you can dial it in to your liking.
Much happier now that I am spraying Diamont.
Nh700m is tough even in Diamont.
When I sprayed Onyx, I had better luck with a Tekna 1.5 vs. GTI 1.5.
I am using the Devilbiss bags/liners for sealer and primer and the 3m cups for base and clear.
According to the tech sheet it cannot go over bare metal. Must use etch or epoxy first.

Should the tack cloth be folded up like a pad or opened up and wadded up like a ball?
Congrats on the new job. Going to have some good stories to tell I bet.
Good looking rides.
Love the hauler.
Use it in our shop with no problems.
My computer hates the new format.
Windows 7,cable internet, etc.
Half the time I cant get the site to load. The other half is extremely slow.
That cab over is pretty cool.
sounds interesting, I’ve had many conversations on the subject but haven’t seen a side by side comparison like that. looking forward to seeing the results.
According to my jobber, some of the comparison sprayouts were pretty drastic.
The cards I have are very thin and looks like a primer coat on one side. I will have to confirm that.
What I may do is cut up some actual bumper covers and use those too. Just curious if the thickness of the TPO makes a difference.
