But in all seriousness I never really thought about the hose I wipe it down but its old .
The constant bake cycles breaks down the insides of some hoses.
I usually change mine out yearly.

Might try coated paper too. Sometimes you get loose fibers off the non coated paper.

Flash time before bake depends on the clear. Some are immediate, others are up to 15 min.

What type of masking paper are you using?

How old is the hose from the filter to the gun?

Since you are Canadian, it could be the flannel paint suits you guys wear. :lol1

Looking good.
What is the secret to the heavy undercoat in the trunk?
Had a friend that was trying to duplicate it and wasn’t having any luck.
I’ve been spraying onyx for a few years and I don’t mind it. We’ve had our share of issues but it’s been ok for us. I was just wondering what problems you’ve encountered if you don’t mind answering.
It is slow, even with blowers.
Trying to denib or minor repairs. Not happening.
Blending. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you still get that halo.
Just overall everything seems to be a battle.
It has been an even bigger battle for the other shop that is using 90 line.

The four of us painters are ready for a change.

What color are you going to paint the cow?

Blends, color match, dry time, etc.
Our other store is using 90 line and they are having the same issues.
According to the reps we are the only two shops in the world having these issues.
The jobber insisted going back to Diamont after they got wind of the owner talking to PPG.

Mixing/stirring with Basf is very important.
Stir the toner before it hits the mixing machine. Basf even supplied a offset mixing stick to scrape the solids off the sides of the can.
After using stir stick, paint shaker for 15 min then it is ready for the mixing machine.
Run mixing machine for at least 10 minutes a couple times a day.

I am using Onyx but I assume 90 line is similar.

I only have a few that I hang on to. I have a Devilbiss OMX “Green Monster” only used it about 3 times.

If you decide to sell, I am in the market for a mini-gun.

The toners need to be stirred with a stick to loosen the solids off the bottom of the can. Then put on a shaker before they even hit the mixing machine. Run the mixing machine a couple times during the day.
BASF seems to really push this.

I think GM recently changed their primer . The primer seems rock hard and does not sand/scuff real well.
I am using a DA with 400 then going over that with 600 DA and a red scuff pad.
