Got a chance to test it out using RMR09 reducer.
PS2 Chrysler- covered good, layed flat ,good color match, blend was better than Onyx.
PRH Chrysler-covered good over a rose colored sealer, dried quick, good color match.
Wa379E-GM 3stage- six coats to cover recommended ground coat, dried quick, good blend, good color match,DC5335 with DH47-UR60, died back quite a bit.
Kia dark gray metallic. Forgot the code. Not even close to the color chip.
Sprayed a couple other older colors. Blendable, but the colors seem to run lighter than the Colormax chips.
Definitely has a strong odor to it
Im not sure how those cycle times are possible unless youre spraying in a freezer…… I shot a video today in a former envirobase shop that we just landed and painted a white Avalon code 070 tri coat. New hood, bumper, rt fender, blended rt door blend lt fender and blend rt a pillar. From sealer to ready for clear was 31 minutes. Using ds40 white tinted sealer.I’ll edit the video and upload asap
Looking forward to that video.

Retro fitting your cross flow with a air make up unit would probably be the cheapest route.

I think he is looking to give the flat a bit more shine.
I don’t think you will get it even.

This new mix ratio specifies over catalyzed Diamont. Does not say anything about Onyx.
The tech line was no help.

I will take a copy please.

Just called BASF tech support and they don’t know about this yet.

I mix it 3:1:15% DH16 and UR60 and have not had an issue.
Sprayed over Onyx, not solvent.

I have been mixing it 3:1:15% with DH16 and UR60 without issue.

Is that to slow it down so it flows?

That’s a tough position to be in.
A down draft still takes in outside air.

Already using 125 filters and spraying at about 16 psi.
I will try a little extra reducer.

BASF rep said this is not going to replace Onyx water or be a stand alone system.
It is a supplement to water.
Best use is 2-3 panels, solids and small 3-stage jobs.
Said it was too fast to even use it on a bed side in the summer months.
