I agree Smooth! But just sort of figured since a guy is only buying the pigment, and not the technology going into the color match and the other technogy that maby it might be a decent product.

Interesting! I have always sanded with 800 dry before re clearing. I often wondered if 500 would work, but never tried it. Thanks!

That’s not a bad theory. The only problem is, in the one I seen only did it on the spots that were spot primed.

I wonder if the paint companies had there low Voc solvent systems up and running during the solvent to water conversion days, if we would even be spraying water now. Lots of time and money invested in the water product, I think that’s one of the reasons the paint companies are trying to push water over low Voc solvent.

Seems pretty positive! It will be interesting to see if it wins over water in the long run.

Wow! That’s crazy! I have seen this on a job we did, on a hood with clear tape. Peeled off the clear tape and the paint came off the spot primed hood. The primer was also sanded. The paint stuck over the spots that weren’t primed. I have no idea what would cause this.

Nice! Did it feel and act like old school solvent, or diferent? Glad you liked it!

That’s too bad you never got your demo. But as far as speed goes there is no way a multi coat system would be as fast as Cromax Pro or Standox Standoblue. When properly used there is nothing faster than Cromax Pro Standox Standoblue or Spies Hytec.

I’m interested in hearing your take on it. I have herd it’s O.K. But not great. I think the compliant products that are out there now, still need some time. But I realy like the Axalta water products.
