    Thanks Berry,

I have seen them before. Do you work the disc from the outside to the center or the other way to shrink the metal?

Found this on eBay with out cup.
Your choice of 1.3 or 1.4 tip? What do you think? They are local to me so I can pick it up for free. Don’t know what tip I should get?

Is this a good gun or maybe I should get something different? I would like to get one gun for now and maybe change to another or add to my collection later on. I cant afford to get a high priced gun. Maybe somewhere in the range of 400 or mid 400’s. I see a few guns at $560!!! :exci

It seems that everyone is crazy about the Sada guns. Is that something I should look into?

I was looking at the IWATA LPH-400 LVX and LVB. I don’t know the difference between the two. I want it for spraying clear. I see that there is a 1 lb difference between them in air pressure.

Is that really important when choosing a gun? I have a 60 gallon 12.85 @ 90 psi compressor.

Hey Jim, after looking at the SPI web site I see that there is several types of clear.
MS, HS, universal, turbo, which one are you talking about using?

    Thanks.

Thats what I was wondering… 400 sounds very course. I would have thought to use 800???

Back to what you guys said about reducing the clear and re-shooting it a second time. 10%? So, If I am mixing my first three coats of clear at 4-1-1 then what would that be on the second re-clearing after sanding? 4-2-1???

you guys know that you can NOT use your oven for this. You MUST use a dedicated oven for this process. Don’t ever cook in the same oven as it puts off harmful toxins.

I know most of you know this, just stating this for the people that may not be aware of this.

    December 13, 2009 at 9:13 am #17787

seems like I have to pay 500 or 600 to get a good gun then??

good point… does it have to made of metal and have the sprinklers, or can you use frame and drywall with siding such as FRP like you see in restaurants?

    just thinking?
