Well, I emailed them about the website asking why they didnt show the Iwata’s any more and he told me that the manufacture was mad at them for posting the cheap prices on the web site.

After finding it and looking all over the internet and checking the store prices I finally bought a Iwata LPH400. I cant wait to use it. 🙂

    hey Jimmo, thanks again.

What I am using is Kustom shop brand from TCP Global. I have a store near by that I buy from. It’s a take off from the PPG brand.

I am spraying the Viper blue that has a pearl already in it. Then the met silver. So, when I use the clear to spray over the colors, just add the pearl to it. Okay, I understand that part. My question is how much clear will I need to use with the pearl in it so I can add the pearl one time to the mix and not have to make a second batch. I dont want to start spraying and get down the the rear quarter panel and run out. I am using the blue/silver Ice pearl.

I have about 4 gallons of clear here so I dont need to buy more. I will just use some of that if that’s okay?

Thanks for helping out. You think I should mix in the pearl in the base coat instead? I can do that. Then I wont have to mess with the clear. Is it the more coats you apply, the more the pearl shows up? I dont want it to blingy.

    Thanks. 😉

I saw that about the increase. I didn’t think that was in affect yet. Dang it, would be a bummer if I missed it. Do I want to stay away from the LV or the Light model?

I was looking at them today. Didn’t realize that there was so many different models. :wak

Barry, the link you gave me had Iwata on it but now all they show is the budget line and the devilbiss… am I missing something here? I could’ve sworn that I saw Iwata on there for $350?

sata guns are good guns, the prices are up there too. I hear that they have thier own rebuild kits and are expensive to rebuild.

Thanks for your help. I guess I will pick one up. I always do complete paint jobs so should I opt for the 1000 ml cup? Or are they to big and bulky? They offer a 600,700, and a 1000 ml sizes I believe.

Sooooo, just buy the regular gun or should I buy the extreme and put the silver cap on it. when I spray metallic, then I’ll have the right gun for it and all I will have to do is change the cap?

Or just buy the regular gun and buy a separate orange cap?

Is there anything different about the two guns, or are they calling it a different name because of the tips they sell with it?

I just noticed that there is an LPH400 extreme… whats the difference between the extreme and the regular gun?

    February 2, 2010 at 10:10 am #19201

    Thanks Barry…

It looks like it is $375. for the LPH-400.

They didnt have any info or price for the LS400 Super Nova HVLP Guns.

The silver cap is for the clear only?

What is different on the caps? Is it the little holes that are different sizes or more holes or what?

I see that about half of you guy like the 1.3 and the other half likes the 1.4 for clearing.

I guess since I haven’t used this gun before or any gun in the higher price range before, I guess I will have to just get one and make due with it.

Just to make sure that I am reading what you guys are saying about the different size tips..1.3 and the 1.4 is a matter of spraying slower with the 1.3 and shift to second gear when using the 1.4 tip.

    Is this right?

Oh man, that really sucks! It’s one of them cars that you should just paint the whole thing so it all looks the same.

Glad that you kicked it’s ars!

soda blast it and start over. You are only covering it up. Next guy will say the same about you if that’s all you plan on doing. Do it right and totally remove the paint and bondo.
