    oddly enough my text book from school reccomends sanding the chrome with 320p then an etching primer or dtm primer… this is ase certified book so?

    I love using cromax it makes for great blends and color matches. HOWEVER as you have mentioned it is Expen$ive too much money that is why we have turfed it i would love it keep it but we have found a less expensive product not as great of quality but it works out to be less than 1/3 the cost per pint.

    I do plenty of higher end work hot rods motorcycles etc and have never gone wrong blocked all my peel out with 600 wet and re-clearing I think where lots of people make a mistake here and have the clear “too roughed up” Is that the DO NOT understand that the wet paper must be soaked for a good 30 mins with a drop of soap in your bucket otherwise yes it will be rougher and give you some rogue scratches… that or your block has some imperfections in it or your water isnt clean.

    the problem lies in the fact that it was a 1k product heat tends to just r*pe those products and cause it to shrink
