ya know bondo, maybe we should. It was his idea to put them online so idk. He knows the other shops, I really don’t know anybody.
Hey Han, I will after a couple of weeks if they don’t sell as a group. I imagine they will not b/c there aren’t that many people looking to buy a shit ton of tints.
haha that old familiar sound of a da in the background. I don’t know if I love it or hate it.
hahaha don’t you hate it when the plastic sticks to the tape on the roll it makes me insanely angry lol But, I’m just an angry man anyways 👿
haha I see that.
Do you guys just airbrush the fender bolts underhood or what?
We edge in parts and jams then assemble then use aperature (sp?) tape in the jams and gaps. I’m sure both ways are ok, I was just wondering since I’ve only worked at one shop.
looks good. A little different than the way we do it though. We edge in all the parts, then install them, then paint them all on the car. What’s the most common method? I’m just wondering, I’m just a rookie lol
Never heard of them? I thought you were young? lol
haha you look like the lead singer from Dashboard confessional.
I don’t know why anyone would put money into a 4 door cobalt. And then to spend the money on that kind of stuff? Paint work is good Jimmo, but the car is hideous.
Han you live in California, you get nothing from me based solely on the fact I am jealous of you lol.
I’ll post up when I’m done. I’m kinda nervous about it actually. I feel like I’m a rookie compared to everyone else.
meh, when I remember to I do. I guess I haven’t been doing it long enough to get into a good routine. My boss loves to sand his base with 2000 very very lightly before his last coat of base.
Yeah I did actually. I used the fender and half the door
In my defense though this car was for a cheap used car lot and it was painted b/c the first time whoever did it did a horrible job. The silver was on so think it looked like you misted a black guide coat on parts of it. And they used some type of red spot putty that wouldn’t dry.
I painted that color this morning and I used the standard formula (BASF) and it was a bit darker/dirtier than the car was. Any R-M guys know the MA# for a better match? I think I used the MA127.00, whatever was standard. It was between that and MA109.?? Neither color chip matched good and I can’t tint good and neither can the shop owner.
