Good looking job!

Just curious, what brand of paint do you spray and what guns do you use? I always find it interesting what items are popular in other countries.
I have two paint brands onsite spies hecker solvent ( witch i am running down as solvent is no longer avaiable here)

And Lesonal water base ( akzo nobel cheaper version of sikkens)

    I use Devilbiss G.T.I. and G.T.I. Pro’s i have five guns tip size 1.2 1.3 and 1.4

I am thinking of buying a sata though

I use a compliant clearcoat it is very cheap and holds up great, $140.00 in your money for a gallon of clear and half a gallon of hardener
thats pretty cool i may well get some use out of that.

Here is my contribution as i am from the uk we probaly do things a little different but you can have a look and see

You will need microsoft excel to be able to use this template

It is a self calculating estimate sheet that i made in Microsoft Excel it has been set at $48.00 per hour.

This ammount can be changed easilly by clicking on cell D55 and changing from =SUM(B53*48.00) to what ever your labour rate is.

All you have to do is remove the 48.00 part and put in your standard labour rate.

Usefull for opinion time estimates or if you just want to do a quick estimate

Or you can just print of and use it as a blank form

It probaly is not what people are looking for but you can have a look it may give you some idea’s perhaps you could customise it a little

P.s. the tax rate is set at 17.5% that is the standard tax rate here you would need to change that to your local tax rate if applicable

Sorry have to cancel that at the moment wont let me upload not the correct file type
If you email the file to me, justin_jimmo@hotmail.com I can get it posted, sounds like another handy template to have.
sent see what you think 😉
If you are looking to compare Sikkens to Dupont. Look at the Lesonal line pricing is better than Dupont. They have a new variant deck that is unreal. Going waterborn use it the 250 clear is the best i ever seen..
I have been using lesonal water for 2 years now i am using it along side spies solvent (witch i am running down due to solvent regulations in this country)

Lesonal water is cheaper brand of akzo we have great results on colour with lesonal it defintnetly has the edge on colour matchiing over spies.

Fast1man i think you mean 240 clear, whats this variant deck you mention ??
I have used everything from mothers to norton, and I have just started using a product i had never heard before. It is a polishing kit from Presta. We had a demo done a few weeks ago and it is the only product that you can polish dark colours with that do not sink back the next day or two.
Apparently this product has no fillers in the compounds and final polish. I did a black hood, wet sanded with 1000 grit and polished once only and put it out in sun and the next day there were no hint of sand scratches at all. I normally swear by 3m trizac system but this appears to be superior. I gues it comes down to preference but when I have to polish,I only want to do it once.
HMMMM this stuff sounds almost to good to be true….. back in the day you could polish black straight from 1200 without problem.
But they must be using harder resins etc now , it now seems to be a much harder polish.
