I’ve been using the 2 Pack with the slow package. My gun set up is 1.3 with the TE20 cap at 26 psi. Gun distance is 4-5 inches with about 75% overlap. The results I am getting are very favorable and dries faster than you would think. With the slow package, the clear wets up real easy which allows me to move a bit faster, which then allows me to put on a thinner but smoother coat. I still get the desired film thickness required for this clear.
When i tried the 1.4, the material delivery was too fast and fat and had to paint at a faster rate than i like.

Just my opinion with the ProLite, which I like very much for clear and basecoat. But with Basecoat,I use a 1.4 tip.

if you are talking about the EPA 6H ruling, you just need a letter from the gun manufacturer stating the gun is HVLP or transfer efficent compliant. You can get that letter by going to the gun manfacturer’s website and printing it, then file it. Sounds like the guns you have are good. The government wants us to spray with guns that are compliant to help lower HAPS and VOC’s from going into the air.

Autosealer WB. waterborne sealer used for sensitive substrates and coatings. apply one to two coats, let dry, scuff if needed or go wet on wet non sanding with your basecoat.

Tiny black particles that show in light colors could be coming from the air hose. after a period of time the inside of the air hose starts to break down and the particles could end up on the car. As stated by another post, air hoses should be changed every 6 monthes to a year, depending on usage.
Another piece of equipment to check is if you have a dessicant dryer and the beads needs to be changed. Some feel drying the beads and re-using them works, but I have seen that after they are dried and re-used, they can break down to micro particles and end up in the paint also.
