Now that’s how to mask a wheel! :dnc

I hate wheel covers and tend either wrap them in fresh 36″ paper, or if I’m feeling generous I’ll back mask off the inner side of the wheel arch lip and cover with plastic sheeting.

If I can add a couple of things for the water users:

Don’t walk in front of the air blowers!

Keep them clean, covering them up with a small plastic bag when not in use, and when you first switch them on make sure they aren’t blowing directly at a panel just in case a bit of dirt or dust gets blown out.
Also for those using hand held blowers don’t aim the blower towards the floor.

For those using PPS I always knock the cup and lid together to get the loose clear, paint off.
Jay I would have to agree. After crossing off the laundry list of things ppg said to try and none of them worked. I honestly feel like the bumper I delt with today absolutely needed 600 and primer for the paint to stick. Ppg blamed toyota for a faulty bumper. Which I don’t think is the case. We will see tomorow. But one thing is for sure, ppg can’t deny I’m preppin them wrong now that we have cameras. Some of those tech reps wouldn’t make it cleanin a shitter at walmart. :teach
600 grit or any scratch is going to do nothing for adhesion to raw plastic. It’s all about the cleaning.

If the cromax isn’t dry enough it will die back. Also some fast clears need to be put on back to back. Also low to no bake.

I had a couple of FX92 guns and they weren’t bad. Not sure of the mini.

Might be a fleet code. Most fleet codes won’t cross to other brands.

Hands down the Nason 456-00 is way better than 496-00 or 497-00.

Sata RP’s do not spray like HVLP,not even close, they spray just as fast as my sata jet 90 :P
The Sata RP3000 does not spray like the Jet90. My post was the effeciency of spray guns has changed. The Jet90 is not an RP (reduced pressure).

Sealer is heavier than color or clear. It will always travel further. I don’t like any kind of foam tape out there. The EZEdger is probably your best bet. Keep it close to the edge of the outside panel.
