Also consider Iwata’s Supernova, the base coat version makes an excellent sealer gun.
December 16, 2011 at 9:35 pm #34713For large areas I like this:

December 10, 2011 at 7:56 am #34605Sikkens ACLV JET Black is about the blackout thing they make, and it’s single stage.
If you want solvent go for Autobase plus jet black (factory pak) only in liters.
Another good option is Ford UA either the dark or blue variant depending on what you want.

November 24, 2011 at 7:36 pm #34357Try everything you can get your hands on. Don’t make your decision just yet.
Just make sure the jobs are similar so you can get a real feel for the differences.
Like ding said, try sanding each one, tack them off, lay some 2″ tape down and see what happens.
Make yourself a chart/spreadsheet and record each job, flash time, tape time, whatever. Don’t rely on your memory.

November 17, 2011 at 6:55 pm #34261
Ok. example,Ford Motor company codes, G2 two stage and U6 tri-coat. Put the two together and tell me the difference in appearance. Tri coats are a breeze yes, but for the little WOW you get its no better than a 2 stage.
Next time you’re in socal, hit me up and I’ll show you the difference.
The U6 has a depth and clarity that cannot be matched in two stage.
November 17, 2011 at 6:49 pm #34260Hawley’s in Santa Rosa is great. Dupont
Talley’s in Napa. PPG
Ned’s has several stores around the bay area. PPG
There’s a NAPA store in Cloverdale that”s pretty good too. Not sure what paint they carry now.
November 15, 2011 at 7:12 am #34206Yup, looks like Ford forgot the lesson from E9.
U6 (candy red, tinted clear) and Z9 (candy blue tinted clear). Both are candied and both are blotchy from the factory.
NQ the yellow three stage I have yet to get the pleasure of. Hopefully it’s ugly enough where they won’t sell many. :lol1
November 12, 2011 at 8:33 am #34153Click up on the top the button that says STOCK
From there you will get a drop down, click on the product line you want.
Once you have a line selected, look over on the left for a button that says edit. Click it. Then make the inventory adjustments you want.
Then click save edits over on the left.
If you call Pemberton, he can log into your computer and do it for you. He’s VERY involved with the progamming. Just make sure you’ve got at least 30 minutes to spend on it.
Its too bad about your local guys, we lost nearly 200 employees in that LKQ sale, some good, some not so good.
