The hairline cracks you can just sand out and fill with the fiber putty stuf ( not sure how it´s called in english ) and the missing piece , if it is just a small bit , you can shape also with the fiber putty stuf or with the fiber cloth for bigger areas.
if neccesary you can also reinforce the bonnet with cloth on the inside of the bonnet.
Just make sure all is clean and there will be no problem.May 18, 2013 at 12:45 pm #43195we do use them , but most of the time it goes to the garage and i sometimes have ” friends ” coming in who need to do a little job on whatever or clients that need to do some painting at home ask me for some used sandpaper , so they get to use the used stuf , everybody happy and it doesn´t cost me sh*t.
May 17, 2013 at 2:02 pm #43188Ah , great to see your problem is solved and thanks a lot as i now was able to convince my wife that i realy need a Adam2 on my guns 🙂
May 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm #43187Yep , i collect at least a whole box full , and what i don´t use/reuse eventualy ends up in the bin but i don´t like to trow away useable sandpaper as it´s like trowing away money in my opinion…………..but i´m a old **** so it might be that 😉
May 16, 2013 at 2:46 pm #43181If you have a look on Youtube you will find loads of videos about pdr , like Hating Painting says , the lifter gives a lot more control.
May 7, 2013 at 2:17 pm #43111
and I find myself REALLY resisting the urge to pull it apart to re-spray. lol.
Just give in and do it right , you know you want it and you know you will regret it if you don´t 😉
And if you are a painter everything you drive is your businesscard , whenever and where ever you drive it , even if it´s not your own biz people will allways look at what your car looks like and make a judgement.
May 4, 2013 at 1:15 pm #43082Also you need to take in account if you are a biz than it´s also your bussines card , then , in my opinion , it should be perfect.
May 4, 2013 at 12:35 pm #43081You can not give a estimate based on these pictures as there is not enough information , it seems that the rear axle is bend and the back of the car is twisted , apart from the obvious quarter panel etc. afcourse , lots of work for sure and a very expensive repair.
I wish you luck.May 2, 2013 at 5:43 pm #43061I´m with Dlambert here , if you have the time then just sand it , a DA with p80 does the job in no time.
May 2, 2013 at 3:27 pm #43057strip it , then at least you will be sure it will be good for a long time!
