I don´t know how much space you have but you could try to use a single stage clear to fade your color into and then use a blending agent on the clear into the fender.
That should take care of the halo effect.
If you can keep it small than you can always move on to bc+cc to save the dayApril 3, 2013 at 6:14 pm #42570halo , it´s called a halo , thanks Ben for helping me remember that , i might be getting old……………;-)
April 3, 2013 at 3:22 pm #42566I think it´s best to go bc +cc because blending a single stage metalic with a blending agent will leave a nasty silver edge on the blending area ( i can´t remember the english name for it 🙁 ) .
Or , depending on the grafix you can use the grafix to tape up to , tho this needs the grafix to be continues over the whole panel.good luck,
Rob

Tip: Use search engine friendly names for your pages , Google does not like : http://mlautocenter.com/?page_id=78 , but likes http://mlautocenter.com/collision-repair for example.

March 27, 2013 at 8:51 pm #42444I want(ed) to buy a 3M sungun but now i will wait a bit as it will be interesting to see what people come up with diy wise. For the money that 3M wants for it you can make a lot yourself i think.
