    Hey Ben,

I’m happy things are going good for you. There are a lot of changes on this end too, i got married and had a baby boy, still busy as ever at work. Nice to hear from you. Take care . Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks for the response. I figured I would try out a digital model this time around, so far I’m not too impressed, other than the digital issue I’ am really happy with it. Do you think the battery would die in two months? I’m thinking the solvent cleaner is to blame but one would think that they would have that figured out.

Best advice would be to strip to bare metal than you can start with a solid foundation and no surprises that can come back to haunt you down the road

Always refer to the paint gun manufacturers recommended PSI. PPG waterborne is sprayed with a 1.2 or 1.3 fluid tip

Hey Jim, from my experience in this industry , a rule of thumb has been ” You get what you pay for “

yea sounds a bit steep cost wise, I wouldn’t mind demoing one tho, if it helped speed things up and make life easier I would be interested

No I have one on order, but it’s nice to get some reviews and opinions on it before I try it, I too have been hearing nothing but good things about it, looks like a nice gun , thanks again

Update: I went ahead and got the Dynabrade model scottB mentioned, I’m very happy with it, it’s smooth and versatile and saves time considerably compared to spot weld bits, definitely the nicest tool I’ve put in my hands in quite some time, everyone at the shop love it.

Lay it flat, and try to eliminate the dust issue from the source , we try and mount the parts the way they are intended to be on the vehicle, I find it makes for a more consistent original finish.

That’s a very complex question your asking, it really comes down to your particular market , have you talked to any other painters in your area?
