Whats the difference between aquabase plus and envirobase any way. Im using aqua base plus and have no complaints. My rep tells me its supposed to be top of its class. ppg came into my shop and converted me from solvent to water at no cost at all.

dcturcotte,I have to disagree, most time you cant tell them apart until you hit them with the sand paper. I don’t see an advantage compared to 2 stage.

I dont know about BASF because i havent used it, but as far as ppg goes i use it everyday in my shop and have not yet had an issue with it. Great color matches, user friendly, actual variant sprayouts in the color decks with the system so you know which one to mix. Great system.

in my shop i take on a job and my partner takes on a job, i like doing this because it takes out all the guess work from passing the job from me to him . that way i can follow it all the way to the end with no surprises. i know thats not what all bodyshops do but that the way i like doing it. if their is a mishap we know whos to blame.

if you can see the 80ish sand scratches means the polyester wasent finished with a fine enough grit (320) and the primer wasent left long enough to shrink before you block sanded it. you cant expect the primer to do too much.

but believe it or not in my opinion the Lesonal Pro air is as good as any of it. no solvent pop or die back and has great high gloss sheen! 😉
