    i have never done a flow coat job. can someone elaborate on the process. wouldnt you want to block it rather than use a DA? How many coats of clear first round? what to sand with and how many coats for flow coat?

    Yea we are a waterborne shop and just asking to see if could be done. Onyx has a base mixng clear called hb100 used mostly for pearls that I guess you could mix some black toner in, throw that as base then clear it.. But it seems it would be easier to just order a little black solvent to mix in the clear coat. Thanks for the help

    Thanks. because we get about 25%-30% off list on factory parts. up to 40% off list price on aftermarket parts. But on paint 15% seems low to me, especially considering how much we buy. i dont know about other paint companies but the basf list prices are listed in the smart color mixing program.

    is there a time frame i can do the flow coat by or can i do it whenever? so i block with 400 and i guess follow that with 800 or will i see the scratches in the clear? basically im doing it over again hahahah
