take wheels off or let the air out of the tires …. I often do the roof first by it self … then mask it and do the sides , on bigger rigs

in the old days when I was just starting candies were done by applying silver base and then top coating with a transparent color coat, then clear , but I believe this technique is no longer used. Newer paints can obtain the same effect with just a color base. :kofee
you might be able to fix it but it will be hard to make it look pretty and impossible to return it to pre-accident structural condition. you did the right thing ;)
sounds like you got a real mess there …. the guys are right you wrinkled your first applications and now need to start from scratch … you need to get back down to your original repair and start over and do it right this time …. you may be painting the whole side now. :kofee
there’s a fancy pants tool somebody posted on here that buries hot staples in the plastic. reinforcement right where you want it, quick and easy. I still haven’t found one for sale in the US….
just melt some pieces of mig wire in to your back side repair with your plastic welder as your welding it.

then weld it on the outside. sand it down , prime it, finished … no filler needed (if the plastic is weldable) :kofee
