I’m short handed by one for 3 months , as 2nd year apprentice is in school now and 1st year apprentice goes for a month when he returns.
I remember back when i was a body person , but of late I’m a secretary/accountant and a teacher/shower and am enjoying getting my hands dirty these days,
Well bondoking, I’d probably ask the guy for $6500 bucks, then I’d sublet it to you for $4500. But seriously, that has been whats always killed me about the body biz. I could have a multi-million dollar facility, and the insurance industry would not want to pay more than $44 bucks an hour, or, I could string a tarp between two trees, and get the same. There is no way I could sit here and tell you what you are worth. If they jump on the price like a hobo on a ham sandwich, you are probably not charging enough. If you are sitting around twit ling your thumbs, you are probably charging too much.
I like to call that “free market”. But, don’t worry, if Obama has his way he’s gonna fix that for ya. Or, at the very least, fire you.
If wax makes it look “better” then you haven’t buffed it properly. There’s absolutely no reason for wax in a paint shop.
It has no benefit and can only cause problems.
When someone needs to finish by waxing they’re just putting a band-aid fix
on improperly buffed paint.
They need to learn how to “completely” buff it out. B)
I have to agree :pcorn:
in fact WAX and SILICONE are both *** words in the shop :cens
