In high temp areas I like POR15 clear. Funny thing though once you open the can and close it, it is so hard to reopen.
July 29, 2013 at 12:55 am #43827If you use a fan to pull out fumes be careful. Spark proof exhaust fan should be used. I admit I have made some makeshift spray areas but it is a huge risk if you get caught. Each state has diff rules and diff punishments!
July 22, 2013 at 2:13 pm #43734The only time I had a problem was when I marked a black truck after wetsanding with the white. My prepper said truck ready to spray I looked down the side and saw about 5 things he missed so I marked the spots. Anywhere I had marked even though I rewetsand and degreese when I cleared you could see the marks. Couldn’t see b4 clear though. Never had an issue though if car hadn’t been sanded already.
July 7, 2013 at 10:26 pm #43557I’ve seen lines in paint (not cracks) when pre cleaner is not thouroly wiped off and base is put on to wet. Almost like stripes of fish eye but in stripes because of the wiping marks. Just a thought.
July 4, 2013 at 2:27 pm #43530Me personally I won’t 600 for reclear. I don’t use 600 unless I’m going to use base. I think it makes it a tad bit defused. Less depth because the clear is to roughed up underneath new shinny clear.

June 30, 2013 at 10:46 pm #43486I wish I could go to IRS, labor folks and immigration but I can’t. I fear for my family’s safety. I have to just walk away. Here I am a law abiding citizen and I am intimidated by mega rich foreiners with seedy dealings.
June 30, 2013 at 6:21 pm #43483No contract. She said If I work for her company I can not work in any way related to this industry. It came up because I was asked to design a Susan G. Coleman cancer foundation Volkswagon. I mentioned it to a co-worker I even was thinking they might want to be involved. There are some underlying issues that she was just trying to push me out. I was the first english only speaking employee. I had to do all the books, inventory, billing payroll everything in spanish. I overcame it and they store did great. However they looked at me as if I wasn’t as good as them. As soon as they found a spanish and english speaker they started doing unfair things to get me to leave. I quit on thursday got hired on friday at a really nice shop worked on saturday. I must say the racisim that they had towards me made me very upset. I am the American I was born here how dare they? O well spilled milk makes you think though.
April 21, 2013 at 8:32 pm #42865Not scared to spray however, if the color is so so so wrong what you gonna do? Color and technique are both needed. Location of repair also a big factor.
April 18, 2013 at 2:58 pm #42833As a jobber I tell people they have to bring me a piece the number of vari. is crazy. That color has the right code! 4Q2 lol 😉
March 30, 2013 at 11:55 pm #42532I figured out where I was mixed up. I always used clear as my kandy koncentrate vessel. Thats why I thought it needs a hardner like UK. I did look it up and HOK suggests SG100 that is just a clear base coat. In theory though wouldn’t clear with KK give more protection to the dye and then even more protection from the top clear? As long as it’s a good clear.
