Sorry to bump this up, but has anyone used the 2pack clear for larger completes?

I have been spraying the 2 pack for a little while now but have yet to come accross a big job so I am wondering how well it works.

I am referring to something like a complete on a full size minivan[. Does the slow stay open long enough for big jobs or will I run into dry spot issues?

I use my LPH 400 for clear so I cant help with your basecoat issue.

But with clear i spray it around 20-22psi full trigger. Remember, these guys have a large pressure drop between half trigger and full trigger.

    i use a lph-400 but i dont think its a gun problem. I’ve also used sata’s too.
Im not saying it doesn’t look good, but maybe im just expecting too much.

On the topic of flow coating, do you guys flow coat with High solid clears?
I spray sikkens autowave(waterbase line) and clear with superior 250, ive tried flow coating once with it, but it doesn’t seem to be worth the effort.

I use my supernova for base, but if its anything like the lph400 for clear, i run with wide open fluid, full fan and 2 inches from panel 75% overlap.
Wow 2 inches from substrate for clear ! What settings do you use with the supernova for base mate and is it Solvent or water based.i will take all tips and try to improve my technique it also feels good when i can see results and know i can paint a little, lol.
Wide open on everything. 20-25lb with trigger pulled(material coming out). I shoot around 4″ distance, and i use sikkens waterbase.
