Jay those look good! Like glass. Most of my jobs I try to get a little peel to match the fac finish. But just out of curiousity on the top pic. What type of clear are u using? That was with a 3000 or 4000 rp? I haf a 3000 rp for a bit. I sanded lots of sags… I like the 4000 for that matter. No curtains…. lol

The interior and floorpan is where most the damage is. Blew every bag but th steering wheel and dash. There is a lot there for ae minor as it looks

well i did not know that about black. also why do tri coats need 57? i never have done this and it came out good. other than problems matching the color…. im not disagreeing with u just curious as to why

    January 14, 2013 at 4:52 am #40361

i have never used the 57. activator correct? im getting options of 1 to 1.25 1 to 1.5 and 1.1. also when im mixing tri coats it gives me a message to consult p sheets before reducing? why am i getting this message? read the p sheet and didnt see anything on it.

yes i have wanted to try finer strainers. when i asked the paint rep about them he said it would change the color if its to fine. how fine are the pps strainers?

    January 12, 2013 at 5:50 am #40307

but dont over reduce? i have been using 885 in all my base. i used to have the booth set at 85 for this. i did just recently turn it down to 75 tho. did u spray deltron with a 1.3?

    January 12, 2013 at 5:03 am #40304

yes i have and want to. but what i have heard about waterborne is u have to be able to control the humidity in the booth. which i cannot do with this booth. and wichita can be humid as hell. is there truth to this?
