How do u like the w400 with the orange cap on it? I have a lph with the orange cap sometimes it seems a bit slow. Also nice tekna how do you like? 7e7 cap? I’m thinking about picking a couple up along with a sri pro spot gun.

Yeah what clear you using? The usc universal clear? My local jobber carries it at a reasonable price. 4-1 mix and offer slow and fast hardner. Have heard good things about it for a cheap clear. Would be good on the cheapies or used cars.

Bumper covers have been known to not match from the factory…just sayin…I’m not by any means saying dont do a good job. But it’s your car that your going to sell…not a customers car. Dont pull your hair out trying to turn it into a show car finish. It doesnt pay off. Pretty good is good enough. If it’s a customers car it’s a different story. Just my opinion anyways from a business point of view.

Lets not get silly guys. It’s just a cobalt. That probably matches gm’s factory texture. No point glassing out half the car and leaving the other half with factory orange peel. No one is gonna care…it’s not gonna get you another dollar for the car.

Just use some Acme FC710 or 720 and be done with it…don’t let the price fool you.
I used to spray SW U7000 and use ACME for clear, wow that clear is out to lunch man. Would never use that clear again if possible, the stuff was like water, would constantly die, general all around garbage clear.
Are we talking about the same clear? It just got switched over to the ACME label recently it was under the crossfire label and refinishers select label before. If so must be something in your setup because I’ve yet to really hear anything bad about it and alot of people on here have sprayed it. Yes I know It’s a cheaper cleat but that doesn’t really mean it’s garbage. I’ve sprayed some high dollar clear that was garbage compared to this stuff. I’m not saying It’s the best clear on planet earth but I’ve had great luck with it as well as many others. It also seems to hold up pretty well down the road too.

So the tekna with the 7e7 cap also works great for spraying base also? I’m spraying solvent. I have a 1.3 lph with the orange cap and you have to work for it with alot of metallics.

What caps you guys using for the teknas? The hvlp or compliant? The 7e7 is the compliant right?

I’ve always been under the impression that the epoxy repair is stronger and more flexible. I’ve heard that the weld can be brittle at times???
