i think that is the air dry clear i think thats the number its fast good for bumpers or 2 panels max i even used the slowest hardner it really fast it was high 80s low 90s when i used it last month hand slick in 10mins we put bumpers on it 30 to 40 min but you have to go back to back with it no flash or you will have a big messbelieve me jobbers didnt tell me this i found out the hard way
April 4, 2013 at 2:45 am #42578foam tape and the new 3m chip guard gun. It works awesome looks just like there primer gun.It has diposable packs of chip guard. easily fade the texture out to nothing.
March 29, 2013 at 3:40 am #424753m makes a good one . But i would invest in a back up battery. I didnt and now it wont keep a charge long, so i have to get another battery
March 16, 2013 at 2:26 am #42129we switched from sikkens to standox stando blue and dupont gave me 3 sata rp 4000 spray guns. 1.2 for base. 1.3 for clear and they gave me a extra one for what ever in a 1.2. I used the 16198(15/60 plus ) clear at 1st but didnt like it .So now i use 16252 premium clear i think you will like it much better with either 15/25 and 25/40 hardner i didnt like the 20/30 hardner
March 14, 2013 at 7:05 am #42106Thats one thing i like about the standox line same hardnersand reducers for primer, sealerand clear.
March 14, 2013 at 2:05 am #42102Our shops switched from sikkens to standox stando blue last october. I like it ok dont have any issues. i havnt heard of the pf product yet. i really like the 16252 clear and the nonstop sealers lay down great. Did not care for the hs primer so i use the 2+1 primer now little harder to sand but it drys fast. If the clear you speak highly of is better than 16252 ill give it a try if it uses the same hardners
February 14, 2013 at 4:16 am #41357I always use blend additive and alot of it on blend panels. And i allways cover my blend panels up with paper till the paint panels are covered. Then work the blends never had trouble doing it like that. I have did this b4 on silvers or just hard to blend colors, work the blend if it still looks funny take some 065 and extra slow reducer mix 1/2 n 1/2 add lil color to it then work it again. proably not recomended but it has worked for me in the past hope this helps
February 3, 2013 at 5:51 pm #41002we switched last october from sikkens to standox stando blue pose to be same thing a dupont but the paint rep said its not said standox and spies hecker are two different animals than the dupont so far i havent had any problems i have the newest camera but i dont just rely on it i check the color decks and some times i use the vindicater option it seems to work better on 3 stage pearl whites than anything i would much rather be useing sikkens but this stuff anit to bad

November 11, 2012 at 4:29 pm #39067yeah the chip decks are off alot of the ones i have the paint is messed up heavy metalics are to heavy this stuff works ok like isaid b4 but if we ever get back to the work load like we had eariler in the year it wont keep up or if we get another hail storm like we had in 2010 there was over 800,000 auto claims in tennessee alone with that storm i wasnever so sick of hail in all my daysour pdr guy was with us for a year and halve every body says the waterborne isfasterthansolvent ifyou got the proper air movement i dont know about that the sikkens autobase is purty darn fast
November 10, 2012 at 9:51 am #39031i dont under stand y we switched from sikkens if the owner wantedto change to water borne should have just went with autowave but he standox is workin ok colors are matchin good most of the time i use that camera and just do a blind search i have been gettin low numbers doin it that way rather than typeing in the make and code and vin number but i allways check the color decks
