i dont have a gun washer yet they ordered it but it didnt come in yet so weird taking a 500 dollar sata and running water threw it with a water hose i do like there computer system the color proofing and the amount you mix screen is cool and the color eye camera works purty good but if the big shop cant get it togather it wont last long be back to solvent dont matter to me either way
goin really good at the shop im at we have 3 shops 1 shop dont do much at all the shopim at we do proably 15 to 20 cars aweek the big shop i think they have had some trouble they really turn the cars out i dont think they can get them out as fast as they did with the sikkens but so far im staying on track colors have matched good and i really like that 15/60 clear plus they gave me 3 new sata rp spray guns would i rather spray sikkens yes ,but im doin okwith it
thats the very reason i dontwork a helper any more i just do it my self cant find anybody thats wants to work andwhen you do they usally try to backstab you andtakeyour job or the boss puts them on the line and youhave tohold there hand when theyget in ajam and they will just give it a little time so ijust do it my self if theys morework than i can do let them hire another expereinced painter i dont worry about it when i started out i learned every thing i could allways respected the guys i worked under and worked my way up and it took me proably 10years to become a so called (lead)painter every body now wants to start out on top it takes expereince to do this job with consistency where you can make money
i justcant stand how this business has become no loyalty just cut throat out to get whatever theycan paint supliers,body shopowners ,insurance companys, i dont make any more now than i did 10 yearsago and haveto work twice ashard around here they areno young folks wanting to do thisjob all the olderguys are retireing or dead its just a not a good trade to do any more just my two cents
ive been painting since1991 i have only used basf and sikkens but sikkens isby far most user friendly products andbest color match i have ever used
well the standox folkswhere there today movin sikkens out standox stando blue in but i hurried up and mixed every thing i had to paint today b4 they removed it i usually do 5 booth cycles a day but today i did 8 just to show them what sikkens can do lol
thanks for the information yes jim homer is a real cool dude and knows what hes doin i have been there several times i have been spraying sikkens products since 1998 i dont think it gets any better my self never have any problems but the switching paint linesis out of my hands so i guess ill just deal with it
