well i need to go look at it. he says it has some extra light panels and regular panels so it could very well be a 14 foot booth that was shrunk down to fit where it is now
on a side note i just bought a Col-met IBC-0807 Exhaust wall four years old looks like new still for $250.00 was thinking of reselling this to help or payfor the booth :stoned
well sadly there is no way to cheat its been tried 100 times before to get by with less and all has failed . the best bet is to get a new compressor (locally for sale used unit) craigslist, ebay, newspapper put up a sign at the post office you might be surprised might pick one up for 100-500 bucks
IF you add it all up a craftsman 33 gal comp new is around 250 – 300 another tank may run from 75-200 could get a used 5hp 60gal unit for same price (unless the 33 gal comp was free)
then the extra tank will give you more spray time for less money (except the electricity used to run for the half hour to recharge lol)
on a side note I have used a craftsman 1.6 hp 33 gallon compressor to do spot repair and panel painting with no problems at all I have SATA guns : 3000HVLP 1.3, 3000RP 1.3 100 B RP 1.6, Minijet 4 1.0SR no high flow couplers on any of it
i am not saying this is a good setup the compressor runs all the time and gets hot not good for an oiless compressor at all (it was made to air up tires and baskeballs) but has gotten me by for nowI am going to order an Eaton Compressor in the spring it will cost around 1700-2000 but i will have it for the rest of my days and no worries about not havin enough air
No one wants you to mix clear and base. Stone said to spray a coat of clear(base) down for an orientation coat then base(color) over the damaged area then clear the panel.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if thats the only way to mount that moulding to the fender you will be doing this same job over and over again.sure it looks nicer being one whole piece but you got to account for flex of the pieces.
And are you going to fix all the spider cracks in the moulding ? and the damage to the door ?
Heck I would sand the graphics smooth (no tape edges if there are any ) then sand the rest down with 220-320 then White sealer whole car (Gray sealer may hide better) then (if there is no other work to be done that is )
go ahead and sand the sealer for good base for new color . :kofee :chair boy that sounds way to easy throw in a couple problems along the way and it should be good :stonedwe will see what other suggestions others may have
I agree with ryan any company that asks questions about how to improve or make better products by asking the users what they want is better than people in a conference room deciding to change the color and make it $20 more every year. so like ryan said ask specific questions, so you get specific anwsers .
:welc sorry for planting that tree (Doh)
Anyway to me it looks like it may cost $750-1100 if you even did it yourself which maybe a steal to you
bumper cover will be around $250-350 , front fender $150- 350 and a headlight assmbly will be $100-275 then add refinishing costs prolly around $125-175
if you buy aftermarket parts you will need to fit them aswell . above cost are salvage yard prices, and may need work before they can be refinished or used
looks like a good spring project , keep us posted with pics on your progress :pcorn:
