What is the best brand compressor in your guys opinion? Champion? Ingersoll? 2 stage or 1 stage?

16.8 cfm for the 5hp motor
24 cfm for the 7.5 hp motor

Also everywhere I read says that you should buy a compressor that dose double the cfm of what you tool requires.

Also is single stage better or two stage for painting?

Actually after doing some searching I found out thy this compressor is made it be used with a 5 or 7.5. So basically with the 5 hp it puts out 16 cfm. Is that enough?

It’s a 80 gallon 2 stage cfm is 16.8 cfm. All I want to know if if it will keep up with paining a complete car or should I upgrade to a 7.5 hp motor?

Will the metal cup rust after using with water?

I use ppg as of now and I talk to a sata rep and he recommended a hvlp 1.3 and rp 1.3. But he said the rp 1.2 is best for enviro base water. Do you think I should get the hvlp plastic and the rp metal? What are the benefits?

Hey guys, I still have not bought a new gun. I know I know I am very picky. I have definitely made up my mind on a sata. I am not sure if I should get one gun for both clear and paint or I should get one gun for paint and one for clear. What are the advantages? If I only choose to get one is the rp better or hvlp for both bc/cc? If I choose to get two should I get one rp one hvlp? How noticeable is the difference in the way the rp sprays clear?

Is the sata 4000 rp 1.3 tip the same speed as my finishline 3 1.5 tip? Because my finishline came with 1.3 1.5 and a 1.8 and I like to use the 1.5 because with the 1.3 not enough fluid comes out so it sprays dry or the fan doesn’t open as wide.

Do you guys know what psi the sata 4000 rp, Hvlp and devilbiss tekna pro/prolite work best at? I want to make my choice based on this.

Thanks for all this info. I have made up my mind on the sata 4000 rp. Not sure what tip to get though. I want the Carl Avery edition but I worryed it is not as durable? And I also want to get a iwata but not sure on what model is for what so please she’s some light. I know this info will help people that are in my position down the line.
    What’s the difference between

    w400lv-
    Lph400lvb-
    Lph400lvx-
    Lph400lv-
    Supernova-ls400
    Supernova-ls400h

Is there one that is good for base and clear without changing caps? Is there one that is superior in clear? Which model is most sought after.

I was just told by my paint supplier that they are not going to carry iwatas anymore so they are having a big sale. What do you guys think of the super nova or any other model?

The sata Carl Avery edition. Is there a reason it is cheaper than the regular one? Is the coating on the art work not durable? Also should I get the 1.3 or 1.4? Because I think I am leaning for the sata. If the sata and tekna were the same price would you go for the sata? What is a better all around gun? Better for metallics. Because from what I’ve been reeding the rp doesn’t sound like it handles metallics well?
